I made some black rice in the steamer yesterday. I ate it as a hot cereal for breakfast this morning. I reheated the rice in a pot with a bit of coconut milk then topped it with sliced bananas and raw cashews.
To make the black rice in a steamer -
1) soak it over night in water
2) drain the next day and steam it for about 45 minutes
It is not a glutinous rice so it will retain it's crunch.
